Dealing
with SPAM
The Worldbid.com Team takes
issues such as fraudulent leads and abuse of member contact
systems [Send This Company an Email, Forward This Lead to a
Friend, etc] very seriously.
We are constantly working
to improve our filtering technology in this area, but if you
receive unsolicited email [SPAM], bulk mail or what appears to
be a fraudulent request, such as the various Nigerian Royal
Family scams that have been circulating online for the past
few years, please forward the email to our Customer Service
Department at WorldBidPaper.
Our staff will look into
the situation immediately and take any necessary action once
an offense has been confirmed. The penalties for any person or
organization found in violation of this policy may include any
or all of the following:
- Deactivation of the
offending account [if the offending party is a Worldbid.com
member].
- Reporting of the
offender to his ISP and email service.
- Reporting of the
offender to online and offline organizations specializing in
illegal and unethical online behaviour.
- Reporting of the
offender to the appropriate authorities.
- Possible legal action by
Worldbid.com.
Worldbid.com is
committed to providing the best possible service to our
members and to improving the B2B community as a whole. Your
assistance in preventing these sort of abuses will benefit
everyone. |

| Focus: Account Management |
|
|
| |
|
Every issue, we'll be
taking a look at a feature or service of the Worldbid.com
trade site. It seems only fitting that we begin this series
with the most important: Account
Management.
In the coming issues
we'll be looking at many of the individual services accessible
through the Account Management area independently, but for now
we'll stick to a general overview of this area in
particular.
The Account Management
section of the Worldbid.com trade site is the central hub
through which you control how you interact with our services.
It is here that you maintain your business contact information
and profile, manage your Company Showroom, select how and
which information that you receive from Worldbid.com and
more.
Company
Directory - This area covers several aspects of your
account: make changes to your organizations contact
information or email address, edit your company overview and
logo image, add or remove your company from categories in
the Worldbid.com Directory and access additional promotional
options for your organization.
Trade Offers -
View and edit any current trade leads that have been posted
by your organization. You may also access detailed
statistics on any of your individual leads, including the
number of ETNs sent to other Worldbid.com member
organizations and times your lead has been viewed on the
site itself, track the number of replies that your lead has
generated and access information on additional promotional
options.
Company
Showroom - Create and edit your online catalog of
products or services. You can add images, pricing, and
supply availability information as well as descriptions of
the products themselves.
Auctions -
Create reverse [buy] and forward [sell] auctions and monitor
their progress, including detailed stats.
Email Trade
Notifications [ETNs] - Add and remove categories to your
Email Trade Notification [ETN] list. This is also where you
will access the new ETN features mentioned previously in the
Member Newsletter.
Take some time to
familiarize yourself with the Account Management section of
the Worldbid.com trade site. It will allow you to make
immediate changes to your account without having to contact
our Customer Service Department, promote your organization
more efficiently, and maximize your returns by observing which
of your trade leads are generating the most
interest.

|
| |
| Q |
What should I include in my Trade Lead
post? |
|
A |
The more
specific and complete the information in your trade lead
posting is, the easier it is for another company to quickly
and efficiently respond to your need. Posts that lack
specifics are often viewed as being unprofessional.
Following
are some examples of the information that Worldbid.com members
should consider including in their posts:
- A
picture of your product/service. This can be uploaded from
your hard drive
- Product
specifications
- Quantities available/required
- Shipping requirements
- Any
time constraints
- Markets
you are interested in dealing with
- Pricing

- Special
